CARARA NATIONAL PARK

While visiting Costa Rica´s Central Pacific, Carara is a park that you must not miss! This national park´s low mountainous 15,000 acre area is home to the rare Scarlet Macaw and it holds an interesting mix of dry forest and tropical rainforest. Other park inhabitants include a variety of mammals, plants, and trees. As you walk besides Tárcoles River, lookout for monkeys, birds, iguanas, crocodiles and frogs.
